Punch It: The LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 75375 Review

In all of Star Wars there is no ship more recognizable, more iconic, or more beloved than the Millennium Falcon. Han Solo’s prized Corellian Freighter, the Falcon carries with it the very essence of Star Wars. For many years, one of the gold standards of LEGO Star Wars has been the more well known (and expensive) large LEGO Star Wars Millenium Falcon. This review is NOT about that set (though I do plan to review that epic build in a future article).

That Millennium Falcon, amazing as it is, is likely way out of the price range for many collectors. But fear not, students of the Force, for LEGO has you covered. As part of the LEGO Starship Collection, the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 75375 is a set perfect for those who wish to add the iconic Falcon to their collection but are also more budget conscious.

Overview
  • Intricate Design: Despite its smaller size, the model is a faithful recreation of Han Solo’s beloved Millennium Falcon.
  • Made for Display: The set is intended for display over play and looks great when displayed with other Starship Collection pieces such as the Tantive IV. The lack of interactivity may be an issue for some collectors.
  • Minifigures: This set, much like others in the Starship Collection, does not come with minifigures.
  • Budget Pricing: The lower price point makes this piece more accessible to those on a tighter budget.
  • Sturdy Display Stand: Comes with a display stand and 25th anniversary nameplate brick.
Design & Build

The Millennium Falcon boasts 921 pieces, making it a much smaller build than the larger Millennium Falcon that many think of. Despite the lower piece count, the build process is satisfying. Detailed instructions guide you through each stage. That said, this is a model that is intended for those 18 or older, but experienced younger builders shouldn’t have much trouble with it. As usual, the numbered bags holding the pieces make it easy to break the build into several sessions should you need a break.

The set features an accurate exterior with recognizable elements such as the front mandibles, dish antenna, and paneling on the hull. The display stand is sturdy, making moving the piece to different display locations a breeze.

Display

The LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 75375 is designed primarily for display. It’s not as large as its more famous counterpart, making it much easier to find a suitable location for display. As a part of the LEGO Starship Collection, the Millennium Falcon looks amazing when displayed with other sets in the series, such as the Tantive IV. As with many sets, there are aftermarket LED light kits available. This is one model that you’ll want to get lights for, as the added lighting really improves an already impressive display piece.

Price & Value

This Millennium Falcon set is priced much lower than it’s more famous large-build counterpart. Though it typically comes in under $100, it’s still at a price that may be a bit too high for more budget minded collectors. However, the value of the Millennium Falcon as a display piece makes it a great buy for discerning buyers.  Overall, it’s more than fair to get a LEGO version of the Millennium Falcon and not break the bank.

pros & cons

Pros:

  • Impressive Design: For its size the set features an accurate design, replicating the Millennium Falcon’s iconic look.
  • Budget Pricing: Compared with the more popular larger Millennium Falcon build, this one is much more accessible to those that are more budget minded.
  • Sturdy Display Stand: Comes with a display stand and 25th anniversary brick plaque.

Cons:

  • Minifigures: The lack of minifigures may be a factor for some buyers.
  • No Interactivity: No interactive features may be a point of concern for some looking for something with more playability.
Conclusion

The LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 75375 set is a standout addition to any LEGO collection. A more budget friendly way to add the iconic starship to your collection, this is a must-have addition for any collection. The lack of minifigures or interactivity may be an issue for some buyers, but its value as a display piece is undeniable. So, hop in the cockpit, hope the hyperdrive has really been fixed, and punch it. May the Force Be with You.
